Tiny Pond at Forest Echo Farm

Tiny Pond through the trees

View of Tiny Pond through the trees from the Fern Trail.

Tiny Pond is a 3/4 mile long, unspoiled lake located on Forest Echo Farm Property. There are no buildings along the shoreline.

Tiny Pond was formed by beavers damming up the feeder streams and flooding a small basin. There are at least 2 active beaver lodges at the Pond. We believe the second lodge was established sometime during the summer of 1995 after the first pair had babies. If you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of one of the beavers.

Tiny Pond is only a short hike from each of the cabins. Forest Echo provides canoes and paddles, adult life-preservers and a swimming raft; there is no lifeguard.

Beaver Lodge

Here is the elusive beaver. The beaver's live not only on Tiny Pond but also several of the families have moved up the inlet stream towards the farmhouse pond. Other wildlife that can be seen at Tiny Pond include an occasional moose and heron.

Here is one of the several dams that other beaver families have built on the stream. There is a trail that leads off the Fern Trail that will take you to this area.
