Forest Echo Farm

Pen and ink drawing of the Farmhouse.
Family Owned
Forest Echo Farm is owned by a cooperative group of families and individuals who are committed to the values of simple living and the preservation of our environment. Forest Echo cabins offer a relaxing retreat where you can unplug and reconnect with family and friends.
Rustic and Comfortable Cabins
No power lines cross our property, no electricity reaches our cabins. We have no blaring screens to distract us from the sound of the wind in the leaves or to call us back to the whirl of modern life. But that does not mean we are without any of the comforts of civilization.
Each cabin has hot and cold gravity-fed running water, a gas stove for cooking, gas lights and even a solar-powered refrigerator. The cabins are rustic, but clean and airy. The luxuries at Forest Echo Farm are not inside the cabins; they are found in the light that fills the forest in late afternoon, the silence of an evening canoe on Tiny Pond and the moonlit sparkle of dewdrops at midnight. Forest Echo Farm includes 360 acres, extensive shore to a 26 acre protected pond, numerous trails, and half a mountain.
Cleaning Up
We do not offer a 'housekeeping' service, but instead ask you to clean up before your departure and leave the cabin ready for the next renters. Please clean the kitchen and bathroom, sweep the floor and take your trash, compost, and recyclables to our Caretakers for disposal. Pay extra attention to clean up any dog hair, especially from furniture and rugs.
Caretakers
They are on-site to greet you upon arrival, answer your questions and see to any maintenance. They can also make recommendations for activities in the surrounding area. Check out their Wildcrafts art, handcrafted using natural materials: HumanNatureCrafts
Activities at Forest Echo Farm

Tiny Pond offers a secluded spot for swimming and canoeing; we even have a resident heron. Tiny Mountain and Tiny Pond are a short hike from all cabins.
