Habitat for Pollinators

Forest Echo Farm is a wonderful habitat for all sorts of pollinators including monarch and other butterflies, moths, bees, etc.

When you are here, look for the stands of milkweed and other local plants that host pollinators.

We have signed the Xerces Society Pollinator Pledge
  • Grow a variety of bee-friendly flowers that bloom from spring through fall.
  • Protect and provide bee nests and caterpillar host plants.
  • Avoid using pesticides, especially insecticides.
  • Talk to my neighbors about the importance of pollinators and their habitat.

We participate in the Monarch Watch Waystation Program
Monarch Waystations are places that provide resources necessary for monarchs to produce successive generations and sustain their migration.

The monarch is the Vermont state butterfly and the Vermont state insect is the honeybee!
